Father/Son Events

At various times throughout the year CBC seeks to encourage the mentoring relationship between father and son through special events. Canoe trips, camping trips and work projects have all been a part of this effort in the past.

Father/Son Wiffle Ball Tournament

One particular event is the annual Father Son Whiffle Ball Tournament hosted by CBC. It’s designed to bring fathers and sons together through an exciting sporting event. Ben Zobrist of the Tampa Bay Rays, Tim Dillard of the Milwaukee Brewers, Drew Sutton of the Atlanta Braves and Lance Parish formerly of the Detroit Tigers serve as our honorary pitching staff during this double elimination tournament. Complete with team brackets, gifts and prizes this event is an absolute blast. A Gospel focused message delivered prior to the game by one of the pros makes this event a fantastic evangelistic opportunity. We encourage all participants to invite their unbelieving neighbors.

Guys and Guns

Guys and Guns is exactly what the name implies - guys with guns shooting stuff for the mere enjoyment of doing so. This shoot - held at a local firing range - is led by range supervisors and expert marksmen. Men can feel free to bring their own firearms or use those provided by the range. A nominal fee is required to cover the cost of ammunition. Fathers are encouraged to bring their sons.
