Extension
EXTENSION is designed to help you go deeper in your understanding of God’s word, in your participation in the service of the body, and in your witness for Christ in the world. To do that, we bring a more intensive curriculum and a higher degree of accountability. You will be an active learner. You’ll read books, and we’ll ask you what you learned from them. You’ll develop and practice the skills of Christian service and discipleship. You will be challenged.
Most importantly, though, as Paul wrote to Timothy, “the goal of our instruction is love.” In the end, the point isn’t how much theology you know; it’s how much the Lord Jesus Christ occupies your life. The purpose of our training is to give you a clearer vision of Jesus Christ, one that results in a deeper affection for Jesus Christ. If that happens, you’ll also be equipped to share that vision and affection with others—both inside and outside the walls of the church.
