Undoubtedly, the time between high school and marriage can prove to be a spiritual waste land for many individuals. Young adults are bombarded with worldly thinking and instruction that is self-focused, self-preserving, and self-promoting. The Community seeks to place the Cross between young adults and worldly instruction. We seek to fortify the Biblical truths that young adults have been taught, and point them to the opportunity they have to live them out. We train young adults today knowing they are the church of tomorrow.

Old Testament Survey 2

Taught by Dr. Rick Smith, 207 is a survey of the content, historical background, and introductory issues of the Old Testament, covering its poetic, wisdom, and prophetic books (from Job through Malachi).  The course will focus on how an understanding of the Old Testament scriptures is essential to an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

Sound Interpretation 2

Doug Searle will teach this study of methods and principles of hermeneutics with attention to literary form and genre, especially poetry and narrative.  You can take a look at the syllabus for 106, including the textbook list here.

Working Wisdom "Our Testimony at Work"

Join us on June 2nd at 7:30 in the Upper Room.  After breakfast you're invited to join a motorcycle rally to Centerville.  We'll leave CBC at 10am and should be back by 3pm.  

Get ready for exciting wilderness thrills as you head out to beautiful SonRise National Park!

Kids will be awestruck by snow-capped mountains, thundering waterfalls, wildflower meadows bursting with color and amazing animals like soaring eagles, friendly huskies and herds of caribou.

As kids explore SonRise National Park, they’ll learn the most important survival skill of all: they can always depend on Jesus and His promises of true peace, true riches, true power, true love and true hope!

At SonRise National Park, kids will learn to trust Jesus as their all-powerful guide and Savior! 

VBS is open to children 4 years old as of 6/4/2012 and up through children completing 5th grade.

The Women's Summer Bible Study will be Wednesday evenings June 13 through July 25, with the week of July 4th off.  We are blessed to have Vadra Thatcher teach the book of Ruth for us.  Sign-ups and study guides ($7) will be available at the Information Counter beginning May 20.  We hope all ladies of our church will join us for this great practical study. 

There will be limited childcare for children 5 and under.  Moms will be asked to serve one evening, and Shirley Haskins will contact them to schedule the date.
